Fatigue is common. It is not automatically hormonal, imaginary or solved by another lecture about stress.
Read the investigationWhat Actually Matters
Perimenopause commonly begins during the forties. It can start earlier or later. Period changes are common, but symptoms vary enormously between people.
A typical diagnosis usually considers age, symptoms and menstrual history. One normal hormone test cannot reliably rule out a fluctuating transition.
Symptoms can overlap with thyroid problems, low iron, sleep apnoea, medication effects and other conditions. Hormones deserve investigation. They do not deserve diplomatic immunity.
